Direct Support Professional Responsibilities
- Support individuals in their communities to lead fully included lives
- Aid in the removal of barriers preventing a person with a disability to reach their goals
- Guidance with healthy meal choices
- Assist with meal preparation
- Assist and guide with household chores
- Transportation of individual for errands, appointments and community participant programs
- Continued support and development of individual's monthly goals
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, behaviors and progress
- Manage and redirect challenging behaviors by using position behavior support
