Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (MA)

About the role

InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We are hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) as an Independent Contractor to provide Day Support Services for an individual in the West Charlotte area.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, care, and support to an individual with developmental disabilities
• Instruction and assistance in home living environments
• Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles
• Facilitate community integration
• Help individual develop healthy social habits
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages
• Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred

Pay

$22.52 per hour for 16 hours per week (Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.)

Schedule

• Tuesday and Thursday
• 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• 16 hours per week

Notes

This is an Independent Contractor position. Independent Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for direct deposits. Additional fees required for Contractors include paying for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
