Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (JB)

About the role

InReach is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Independent Contractor) to provide Community Living and Support Services for an individual with developmental disabilities in the Charlotte area (28203). This role involves 22 hours per week of companionship, care, and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and assistance in home living environments
• Help the individual identify and acquire valued social roles
• Facilitate community integration
• Assist in developing healthy social habits
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages
• Transport and accompany the individual to day programs, work sites, and community activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred

Pay

$20.35 per hour

Schedule

2 days per week between Monday and Thursday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Notes

This is an Independent Contractor position. Contractors receive a 1099 tax form and use a third-party Contract Management vendor for direct deposits. Additional fees apply for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees for the Contract Management vendor.
