Direct Support Professional II (2935)

Starting pay is $20.50/hour for awake hours (additional $1.00 differential for active MAP certification); $17.50/hour for asleep hours.

Schedule

• Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 4PM–8PM
• Friday: 9AM–3PM
• Saturday: 8AM–4PM

About the Role

Support Advocate is a direct support professional (DSP) position at Seven Hills Foundation. They act as a caregiver for individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, or acquired brain injuries (ABI or TBI). The role is ideal for those with customer service, administrative skills, and compassion, including experienced direct care providers, college students, stay-at-home parents, paraprofessionals, or teachers seeking a new career opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day services to program participants, assisting and/or teaching personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, and teeth brushing.
• Assist and/or teach household maintenance, meal preparation, and shopping, fostering independence and responsibility in individuals.
• Accompany individuals to appointments as needed.
• Administer medications or support individuals in self-medicating according to residential guidelines.
• Follow individual routines, including Behavior Support Plans, personal care, and Physical Therapy.
• Support individuals with varying disabilities to fully participate in their community and personal lives.
• Leverage varied interests and community connections to enrich the lives of those supported.
• Work as a creative, engaged, and dedicated team member.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or HiSET required.
• Standard driver’s license (Class C or Class D).
• 1–3 years of related experience.
• Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer, or school history).
