About the role

Support Advocate is a direct support professional (DSP) position at Seven Hills Foundation. They act as a caregiver for individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, or acquired brain injuries (ABI or TBI). This role requires customer service skills, administrative abilities, and compassion for others.

Pay

• $20.50/hour for awake hours (additional $1.00/hour differential for active MAP certification)
• $17.50/hour for asleep hours
• Cape-based programs offer a $1.00/hour differential

Schedule

• Sunday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Thursday and Friday: 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Mandatory staff meeting every other Thursday: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day services to program participants, including personal care (bathing, toileting, teeth brushing, etc.)
• Assist and/or teach individuals household maintenance, meal preparation, and shopping to promote independence
• Accompany individuals to appointments as needed
• Administer medications or support individuals in self-medicating according to residential guidelines
• Follow individual routines, including Behavior Support Plans, personal care, and Physical Therapy
• Support individuals with disabilities in fully participating in their community and personal lives

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or HiSET
• Standard driver’s license (Class C or D)
• 1–3 years of related experience
• Varied interests and personal connections in the local community
• Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer, or school history)
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged, and dedicated team member
