Direct Support Professional - Full Time

Location: Norwood, PA. Program: Residential Habilitative Program. Status: Full-Time.

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live fulfilling, independent lives in a supportive community home. Responsibilities

• Help individuals work toward personal independence goals, providing coaching, guidance, and encouragement following individualized care plans.
• Serve as a positive role model and trusted companion, supporting skill development in daily living activities.
• Plan and participate in engaging weekend recreational and therapeutic programs.
• Accompany residents on community outings, appointments, and social activities; transport individuals safely to various destinations.
• Assist with personal care needs, meal preparation, and light housekeeping to create a warm, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Monitor and support medication administration and health needs; implement approved behavior support plans when needed.
• Maintain a safe living environment, respond to emergencies appropriately, and complete required documentation, reports, and data collection.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license held for at least 2 years with no more than 3 points on driving record.
• PA clearances (Child Abuse, Criminal, FBI fingerprinting).
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
• Comfortable working both day and overnight shifts.
• No prior experience required; training provided.

Pay

Base rate $17.50 per hour; competitive rate listed as $18 per hour.

Schedule

Tuesday – Saturday: 4:00 pm – 12:00 am

Saturday – Sunday: 8:00 am – 12:00 am

Monday: 4:00 pm – 12:00 am
