Direct Support Professional - Full-Time

About the role

The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in living full, empowered, and independent lives.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks
• Ambulate, bathe, groom, and assist with toileting
• Engage individuals in social, recreational, and community activities
• Prepare meals, clean, do laundry, and manage household tasks
• Transport individuals safely to appointments or outings
• Encourage personal growth and goal achievement
• Accurately document activities, incidents, and client progress
• Communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients
• Participate in required training and team meetings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points)
• Proof of auto insurance
• Pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings
