Direct Support Professional Flex
About the role
The North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking Flex Direct Support Professional(s) to connect with and assist persons residing at the Life Skills and Transition Center (LSTC) in Grafton.
Responsibilities
- Aid individuals in identifying their goals for learning and practicing new skills.
- Assist with daily life activities such as personal hygiene, work/job, recreation/leisure, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Model effective communication and socialization interactions.
- Teach self-advocacy and self-help strategies.
- Observe, monitor, document, and report on individuals' condition and progress both orally and in writing to the team.
Requirements
- No experience required; training will be provided onsite.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills to log on and enter information into specific computer programs.

Schedule
- Rotating shifts: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM, every other weekend.
- Overnight shifts: 9:45 PM - 6:15 AM, two weekends on and one off.
- Hours may vary to meet department needs.
