Direct Support Professional (DSP) Upper East Side in NYC

About the role

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-to-one support to a non-verbal individual with autism in the Upper East Side of NYC. The role requires a compassionate, responsible, and capable individual who can serve as a role model and positively impact the life of a teenager with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a non-verbal individual with autism
• Act as a role model and mentor to the individual
• Ensure the individual's safety and well-being
• Participate in the completion of an online DSP training course

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience with the special needs community is required
• Reliable transportation is required
• Must be able to show up to work on time
• Dress code: Casual - come as you are, but please dress appropriately and respectfully

Pay

$22 - $25 hourly
