About the role
As a DSP, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide direct support to our students, including:
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care, meal planning, and other daily living activities to promote independence and self-advocacy.
- Implementing behavioral interventions and strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive behaviors.
- Providing support to our therapists in delivering ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy services.
- Facilitating communication between staff, students, and families to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each student's needs and goals.
Requirements
Our organization is seeking candidates who have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An understanding of behavior analysis principles and techniques.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must:
- Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Be able to pass a background check and criminal history review.
- Be willing to undergo a medical examination.
Skills
Preferred skills include:
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Experience with speech, occupational, and physical therapy.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay

Schedule
3.5 hours (community habilitation services) from Monday-Thursday, any time of the day, preferably around 12pm, Friday and Saturday 3 hours a day (respite services) Anytime of day.
