Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Personal Care Home

About the role

Passavant Memorial Homes is a leading provider of support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health needs. Our mission is to empower individuals to live successfully in the community. We have been dedicated to promoting choice and independence for over 120 years. We are currently seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Pittsburgh to provide assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities

- Assist individuals with personal care, such as bathing, shaving, dressing, oral hygiene, etc. - Provide a safe, healthy, and clean-living environment - Perform needed housekeeping duties - Provide assistance with tasks of daily living such as shopping, care of personal possessions, telephone use, and social/leisure activities - Observe for behavioral and physical changes in condition, and report as appropriate - Offer input into the development of the Treatment Plan - Maintain various records pertaining to individuals, following established documentation methods

Requirements

- Minimum 18 years of age, required. - Valid driver's license, required. - High School Diploma or equivalent, required. - 6 months experience working directly with individuals in a personal care setting

Qualifications

Additionally, new hires for a Full-Time Direct Support Professional Position will receive a $2,500 Sign-On Bonus, with 25% paid after 30 days of employment and the remaining 75% after 119 days of employment.

Schedule

Open Interviews will be held from 9am-3pm on Tuesdays in Mt. Pleasant, Wednesdays in Rochester, and Fridays in Harmarville. Applicants can interview on the spot and leave with a job. Please bring a photo ID as this is required to enter the building.
