Direct Support Professional (DSP)-Full-Time

About the role

ReMed, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner, is a growing organization dedicated to providing exceptional neurological rehabilitation to adults with brain injury. For more than 40 years, we've developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries.

Responsibilities

• Provide minimum to maximum assistance and/or supervision to promote clients' success in daily living tasks, recreational activities, and vocational pursuits
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assist clients with therapies
• Drive and accompany clients to appointments, activities, and other outings
• Work comfortably with a variety of medically complicated and behaviorally challenged clients

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain responsible driving behaviors
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Diplomas from non-U.S. educational institutions must include professional documentation/evaluation that the non-U.S. educational program is equivalent to or exceeds U.S. educational requirements; documentation is required prior to becoming an employee

Pay

Hourly Rate: $18-$20 per hour, based on experience and education

Schedule

Mix of 7a-3p and 1p-9p; one weekend shift of a Saturday or Sunday must be included
