About the role
Bancroft is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in its Pediatric and Adolescent Residential Program located in Mt. Laurel, NJ. The position is non-exempt, full-time, and requires in-person work. Schedules and shifts vary, including full-time, 2nd shift, and overnight positions, which may require working one weekend day.
Responsibilities
- Support children with autism and disabilities in developing daily living skills
- Encourage residents' independence through personalized care plans
- Plan events and outings to foster a sense of community
- Communicate with residents, families, and guardians
- Work collaboratively with a caring team
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work well in teams and learn new skills
- Current driver's license in good standing
Qualifications
- Possession of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
