Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring part-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our adult foster care home in Princeton, MN. As a DSP, you will help people with disabilities and mental illness live their best, most fulfilling lives. No prior experience or certifications are required to get started in this exciting and rewarding field.
About the role
RSI’s Princeton adult foster care program currently provides services to adult men and women in their 20s-70s living with mental health diagnoses and intellectual disabilities. This is a part-time position with a shift of 2:00pm-10:00pm every other weekend.
Responsibilities
- Assist in a variety of day-to-day tasks based on the needs and goals of the people you are caring for, including:
- Medication administration
- Household duties
- Behavioral management
- Assistance with personal hygiene and medical cares
- Community activities such as shopping, concerts, going out to eat, movies, fitness, and outdoor recreation
You will develop meaningful relationships and be part of a person-centered culture that values the people we support and team members. Your schedule will typically include 4–8-hour shifts with hours scheduled during the week and every other weekend.
Requirements
- Pass a post-offer background check
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass an MVR check if working days or evenings
- 18+ years of age

Pay
Salary: $19.75-$20.25 per hour. This program pays a rate exception of $1.00 per hour (included in the wage range listed above) on top of RSI's regular wages. Rate exceptions are requested by RSI from the Department of Human Services (DHS) due to more significant staff support needs for one or more person at the program.
