Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About the role

BAYADA Habilitation is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work one-on-one in home and community settings throughout Erie County, PA. DSPs serve as companions for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, helping them reach their full potential. The role offers part-time, flexible daytime scheduling with shifts matched within 30 minutes of your home. Paid training and a one-day paid orientation are provided. The majority of hours are weekday day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Spend time on the client's favorite hobbies and activities
• Support the client's goals towards independence in the home and community
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Participate in community integration activities to focus on socialization

Qualifications

• One year experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• High school diploma or equivalent (must be 18+)
• Ability to transport clients to community activities

Compensation & schedule

• Competitive pay: $19.50/hour or more

Locations & shifts

Service areas include Erie, Fairview, Lake City, Girard, Harborcreek, Wesleyville, North East, Waterford, and Edinboro. Shifts are part-time, mornings, afternoons, day shifts, weekdays, with flexible scheduling.
