Direct Support Professional (DSP)

About the role

AHL Healthcare Group, Inc. operates Community Residential Settings (CRS) homes throughout Minnesota for adults with developmental disabilities or mental illness. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will act as an advocate, supporter, educator, and caregiver to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead fulfilled lives in a least-restrictive environment. Our programs are centered around the individuals we support, with the goal of enriching their lives to live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal cares, activities of daily living, grooming, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
• Demonstrate positive and supportive behavior with clients and coworkers.
• Administer medications and document services provided daily in electronic records.
• Socialize with residents through activities like playing games, watching movies, shopping, going for walks, bonfires, or fishing.
• Accompany clients to appointments and outings.

Requirements

• 19 years or older (required to drive).
• Available to work every other weekend.
• Current Driver’s License, car insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a Minnesota DHS background check.

Pay

$18.00 per hour to start.
