About the role

The Arc of Opportunity is a company dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with Developmental Disabilities. We are currently seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Actively Advocate for individuals served demonstrating the Agency’s values and mission in all interactions
• Leverage your knowledge and interests in the community to empower individuals and enhance their quality of life
• Implement Individual Service Plans
• Aid individuals with Activities of Daily Living, including household tasks and chores
• Aid individuals with appointments, including driving the Agency’s van
• Present in a respectful and professional manner in all interactions
• Attend all trainings and implement knowledge throughout your work
• Communicate in an effective manner whether orally or written

Requirements

• Highschool diploma or GED
• Active and valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background checks
• Ability to lift to 50lbs and sustain periods of sitting or standing
• Ability to assist in a restraint if needed
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health preferred
