Direct Support Professional / Caregiver - Overnight

About the role

We are a mission-driven team committed to providing person-centered supports to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Our services span 15 states, and we strive to empower people to live independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and hands-on instruction to individuals with I/DD
• Encourage independence and self-care through companionship and assistance with daily activities
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including using mechanical lift devices
• Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate challenging behaviors
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred
• Able to provide references
• Attend two weeks of paid in-house orientation and training
• Pass all Oregon State Department of Human Services requirements

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is required
• People-oriented and have a team approach
• Dependable, adaptable, and flexible
• Good communication skills, including reading, writing, and documentation

Schedule

• Wednesday-Friday 8pm-8am
• Alternating Saturdays 8pm-8am

Pay

• Starting at $21.00/hr
