Direct Support Professional - AWC II

About the role

The Arc of Opportunity is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional for our Agency with Choice Program. This position is part of the AWC Direct Support Professional team.

Responsibilities

• The implementation of Individual Support Plans for individuals based on assessments, objectives, and goals.
• The tracking and reporting of data related to goals and objectives.
• Actively advocating for the individual with which you are working, and assist them in accessing community resources that will empower them and enhance their quality of life.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings as assigned and required.
• Maintain all required certifications, including CPR and CPI.

Qualifications

• Must pass background checks and pre-employment screenings including TB test and CORI.
• A High School Diploma is required.
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office, email communication, internet, ADP payroll app.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with program participants and fellow staff.
• Caregiver must be compassionate, resourceful, and eager to learn.
• Must be able to use creative problem-solving skills and work independently when needed.
• Physical demands may include frequent standing, pushing, pulling, walking, stooping, lifting and/or twisting.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicles meeting state requirements.
