New wage: $20.00/hr with a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

About the role

Verland is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide exceptional care to individuals with complex physical, medical, and intellectual challenges in Pococen House (Moon Twp, PA 15108). This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning, laundry, and housekeeping duties.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Administer medications as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Shifts available: 7am–3pm and 3pm–11pm.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a complete background check, physical, and drug screening.
• Experience is not required; 2 weeks of paid training provided.

Pay

$20.00 hourly wage.
