Direct Support Professional

About the Role

Traditional Home Care, a locally owned and operated Home Care Agency, is seeking reliable, experienced Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to individuals diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental health and behavioral diagnoses, and more.

Location: Milford, PA; Pocono Woodland Lakes, PA. Immediate openings in Bethlehem, PA — all shifts available.

Shifts: Part-Time, Full-Time, Weekday, Weekend, and Evenings. Schedules will vary; must be flexible.

Job Duties

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
• Provide companionship
• Support appropriate communication and social skills
• Perform light housekeeping and chores
• Ensure a safe environment and teach basic safety skills
• Help meet individual goals and outcomes
• Promote community involvement (outings, activities, errands, etc.)

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Mobile Device & EVV Requirements

This position is in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act, which mandates Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for home care / home health services. As part of this, you will be required to use a mobile device to log visits and track service hours. Candidates must be comfortable using smartphones or tablets if not provided and must have reliable internet access to meet these requirements.
