Direct Support Professional

About the role

Traditional Home Care is a locally owned and operated home care agency seeking reliable, experienced direct support professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to individuals diagnosed with intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral diagnoses, and related conditions. Positions are available in Wilkes-Barre, PA and Dallas, PA.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
• Provide companionship
• Support appropriate communication and social skills
• Perform light housekeeping and chores
• Ensure a safe environment and teach basic safety skills
• Help individuals meet their goals and outcomes
• Promote community involvement through outings, activities, and errands

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Qualifications

• Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for mobile device logging (if device not provided)
• Reliable internet access to meet Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements
• Understanding of 21st Century Cures Act EVV compliance
