The Center for Family Support (CFS) is an agency dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental and related disabilities. CFS is the first agency in New Jersey and New York to achieve the Council on Quality and Leadership Certification (CQL), demonstrating our commitment to providing high-quality services.

Responsibilities

• Be passionate about helping others and offering genuine friendship.
• Create a supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Work with individuals to understand and pursue their goals and dreams.
• Teach individuals to form and maintain positive relationships within their communities.
• Respect the rights of the individuals you support and encourage them to advocate for themselves.
• Use the person-centered philosophy to guide interactions and decision-making.
• Show a positive attitude and maintain a safe, healthy environment for those you support.
• Report any potentially dangerous situations and follow agency procedures for incident reporting and abuse reporting.
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement service plans.
• Provide supervision as outlined in the individual's service plan and report any emergencies to your supervisor.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license, depending on program needs.
• Experience in healthcare or human services is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

$18.43 - $18.43 per hour
