About the role

The Center for Family Support (CFS) is an agency committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with developmental and related disabilities. We are the first in New Jersey and New York to achieve the Council on Quality and Leadership Certification (CQL), demonstrating our dedication to improving services.

Responsibilities

  • Help individuals develop meaningful lives by listening to their dreams and teaching them new skills.
  • Encourage individuals to express what is important to them and involve them in activities that align with their interests and plans.
  • Teach individuals how to form and maintain positive relationships within their communities.
  • Respect the rights of those we support and empower them to advocate for themselves.
  • Utilize the person-centered philosophy to guide interactions throughout the day.
  • Create a positive work environment by maintaining a positive attitude and showing respect to all.
  • Ensure the health and safety of the individuals we support by administering medications, following doctor's orders, attending medical appointments, and reporting emergencies.
  • Report any potentially dangerous situations to supervisors and comply with agency procedures for incident reporting and abuse reporting.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement service plans and adhere to the service plans outlined for each individual.
  • Provide the appropriate level of supervision based on the individual's service plan and report any unsafe situations to supervisors.
  • Participate in investigations and inspections conducted by agency and division staff and cooperate fully.
  • Behave professionally and courteously towards all colleagues and clients.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license, depending on program needs.
  • Some experience in healthcare or human services is a plus.

Benefits

The Center for Family Support offers a competitive salary range of USD $18.93 - USD $18.93 per hour.

Pay

USD $18.93 - USD $18.93 /Hr.

Schedule

Full-time and part-time positions are available.
