Direct Support Professional

About the Role

REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community‑based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional you will help participants grow, learn, and live well, develop meaningful relationships, support community involvement, and assist with personal hygiene, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Support participants in community activities and favorite outings.
• Assist participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Provide personal hygiene assistance.
• Support individuals who have behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Take initiative to ensure participants are part of the community and enjoy their activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

$19.71 per hour.
