Direct Support Professional
About the role
Merakey, a leading non‑profit provider of developmental and behavioral health services, is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Penn Hills, PA. This position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting their independence and quality of life. No prior experience is required; paid training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Support life‑skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
- Provide community support and transportation.
- Promote health, safety, and well‑being, including medication support (as trained).
- Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay
Earn up to $18.74 per hour, with the option to elect Enhanced Pay.
Schedule
Sunday 9 am – 3 pm; Thursday – Saturday 11 pm – 9 am.
