Direct Support Professional

About the role

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Yardley, PA. This role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. You will work in various settings, following the Individual Support Plan to enhance social, communication, and daily living skills, while assisting with personal care and fostering independence.

Responsibilities

• Spend time with individuals in settings like parks and sensory gardens to work on social and communication skills.
• Assist with daily hygiene and personal care to enhance independence.
• Teach individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.
• Follow the Individual Support Plan to support the goals and needs of each individual.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Pay

Base hourly rate of $16.00/hour with a $2-$3/hour shift differential. Enhanced Pay option of $2/hour is also available.

Schedule

Tuesday-Saturday, 10:30pm-7:00am
