Direct Support Professional

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide in-home and community-based support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Macungie, PA. Pay
$20.00 per hour
Schedule
Monday–Wednesday 1:40pm–5:40pm, Thursday–Sunday 2pm–6pm
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Support community integration and participation in recreational activities
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Promote independence while ensuring safety and well-being
- Document services and client progress accurately
- Follow individualized care plans and behavioral support plans as needed
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional relationship with clients and families
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional, Behavioral Health Technician, or CNA preferred but not required
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass required background screenings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
