Direct Support Professional

About the role

The role involves providing direct support services to individuals with disabilities, focusing on daily living activities, health management, and socialization.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in performing basic daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Monitor and assist with medication management.
• Facilitate communication between clients and healthcare providers.
• Engage in recreational activities to promote social interaction.
• Document client progress and report to supervisors.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pass a background check and criminal history review.
