Direct Support Professional

About the role

Easterseals PORT Health empowers individuals and strengthens communities through our mission. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll assist people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in completing daily tasks and achieving their goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Aid with housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
• Support personal care activities like bathing and dressing.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands.
• Plan and organize their schedule.
• Document and report in the electronic health system of record.

Requirements

• Bilingual a plus.
• Flexible part-time hours for weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols knowledge.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn.
