Direct Support Professional
About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), you’ll play a critical role in empowering individuals and strengthening communities by helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) complete everyday living tasks and achieve their goals.
- Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in
- Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning
- Support personal care such as bathing and dressing
- Provide employment support
- Transport the client to appointments and run errands
- Help plan and organize their schedule
- Perform daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record
Schedule
Part-time; after school hours and weekends.
Location
Raleigh, NC, with regular local community travel.
Pay
$15.00/hour.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability
- Proficiency with EHR systems or ability to learn
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
Entry-level candidates are welcome; on-the-job training is provided.
