Direct Support Professional

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll play a critical role in carrying out that mission by helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) complete everyday living tasks and achieve their goals.
Schedule
- Part-time role: Saturday 8am to Monday 8am with sleepover at the group home
- Required to stay on site for the duration of your shift and clock out to sleep each night for 8 hours
- Compensated for any nighttime assistance required
- Guests and pets are not allowed
- Overtime occasionally available on site; regularly available at regional group homes for extra hours

Pay
Compensation: $15.00 hourly
Responsibilities
- Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in
- Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning
- Provide personal care such as bathing and dressing
- Offer employment support
- Transport the client to appointments and run errands
- Help plan and organize their schedule
- Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability
- Proficiency with EHR systems or ability to learn
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
Entry-level position; on-the-job training is provided.
