Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities

  • Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, meals, housekeeping, budgeting)
  • Teach independent living and social skills
  • Serve ISP and recovery plan goals
  • Provide community-based support and transportation
  • Utilize peer support and lived experience (if applicable)
  • Implement positive behavior supports and crisis intervention strategies
  • Monitor health/safety and complete required documentation

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
  • A Valid Georgia Driver’s License
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly
