About the role
Choices in Community Living provides professional direct care services for individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities. You will be working in group homes and will be providing direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities including general housekeeping, meal planning/cooking, passing medications, going on outings, transporting, assisting with bathing and toileting needs and other various tasks. Our mission is assisting people with developmental disabilities to have access to opportunities to build safe, healthy and meaningful lives in the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities in group home settings
- Perform general housekeeping duties
- Plan and cook meals
- Pass medications
- Go on outings with individuals
- Transport individuals
- Assist with bathing and toileting needs
- Handle other various tasks as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers License (Less than 6 points)
- Ability to handle high stress environments
- Ability to lift excess of 50 pounds or more
- Ability to be on feet for multiple hours
- Must be able to pass a physical & drug screen
- Must be able to pass a Background Check

Pay
- Sign on Bonuses 6 months after hire date for applicants currently certified in:
- First Aid/CPR ($50/each maximum $100.00)
- Med Admin (Delegated Nursing) $200.00
- STNA/CNA $100.00
- PATH CERTIFICATION: CIP $250.00
- PATH CERTIFICATION: CAP $500.00
- Post High School Degrees/Advanced certifications $250.00
