Direct Support Professional
About the role
Join Catholic Charities Disabilities Services as a Direct Support Professional and help individuals achieve independence in daily treatment, care, and services. You will work in an organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the community, with personal hiring decisions made by HR team members or trained hiring managers.
Responsibilities
- Assist, provide, and promote independence in individuals’ daily treatment, care, and services.
- Administer medications accurately and in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
- Maintain a current knowledge base of the population served, including their physical, health, and emotional needs.
- Respect each individual’s personal choices, lifestyle, and dignity, supporting their right to make decisions for themselves.
Qualifications
- Consent to a full criminal background check and fingerprinting.
Training
Four days of orientation, SCIP CPR/First Aid, and Medication Administration Certification (including successful completion of medication pours) are required. All trainings are paid, hosted by Catholic Charities Disabilities Services, and must be completed within 90 days of employment.
Pay
Minimum Salary: $18.52/hour or $20.52/hour (rate determined by program assigned).
Maximum Salary: $18.52/hour or $20.52/hour (rate determined by program assigned).
Differential pay is provided for any hours worked between 3 pm Friday and 7 am Monday.
Schedule
Full‑time and part‑time positions are available, with morning, evening, and awake overnight shifts.
