About the role
The Direct Support Staff position at BAI supports adults with intellectual disabilities. The role starts at $13.00/hr and is available on weekends in North Las Vegas and Summerlin.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals in achieving their goals
- Create an atmosphere of progress and independence
- Promote an environment that encourages personal growth and development
- Support residents in developing skills for daily living
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive support
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Pass a background check
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and ability to maintain confidentiality
