Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Manage medications and ensure proper administration
- Support residents in maintaining personal hygiene and grooming
- Engage in recreational activities and outings to promote social interaction
- Document resident progress and communicate with family members as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience working with adults or familiarity with adult developmental disabilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Passing of a background check and criminal history review
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (social work, psychology, etc.) preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with residents
- Knowledge of community resources and services available to residents
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic computer literacy
