About the role
The role involves providing direct support to adults in various settings, including homes, community centers, and healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, medication management, and promoting independence and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Manage medications and ensure proper administration
- Monitor health and safety needs and report any issues to supervisors
- Engage in activities that promote social interaction and personal growth
- Support residents in maintaining their dignity and privacy
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
- Experience working with adults or previous caregiving experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues
- Pass a background check and criminal history review
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Patience and empathy
- Physical stamina for lifting and moving residents
- Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures
