Direct Support Professional - 3pm-11pm Shift

About the role

Responsibilities

• Assist with hygiene
• Support daily routines and community outings
• Attend training sessions
• Complete special assignments as directed by the coordinator

Requirements

• One (1) year preferred of human service experience working with children, adolescents, or adults
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED
• Valid license
• Passionate about working with and helping children and adolescents with special needs
• Strong understanding of behavior management and positive reinforcement
• Ability to complete required new hire orientation class
• Represent yourself as a positive role model

Physical Requirements

• Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing
• Lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 50 lbs. or more
• Repetitive wrist/hand movements
• Normal hearing and vision
• Occasional use of computers and office equipment
• Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes
• Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches

Benefits

• Competitive Pay: $18.00–$20.52/hr based on experience, education, and shift
• Earn up to $0.50/hr in shift differentials
• Earn an additional $0.29/hr if you have an active CNA

• Multiple Shifts: Full-time, part-time and on-call. Days (7am-3pm), Evenings (3pm-11pm), Overnights (11pm-7am), & Weekend Only Options!
• Multiple Locations: Tobyhanna, Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg, Scranton, Dickson City, Mount Pocono, Newfoundland, Greentown, Cresco and Canadensis.
