Responsibilities
- Assist people with their personal hygiene
- Support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs
- Implement formal/informal crisis plans, program plans and/or behavioral objectives using person-centered planning
- Maintain documentation, record keeping and participate in regular meetings
- Apply positive redirection and behavior modification programs
- Respond to a crisis, monitor the safety of persons served, and provide support and supervision in a positive therapeutic manner with the least restrictive methods of positive intervention

Qualifications

Requirements for Crisis Homes Staff
- Staff are required have 3 years of experience working with individuals with the following: severe mental illness, crisis, physical interventions, and behavior supports
- Positive redirection and behavior modification programs
- Working with individuals with mental health conditions including bipolar, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, intermittent explosive disorder, antisocial personality disorders, etc.
- Maintain safety and to support person served to allow them to be the best they can be, individually and/or within the community while reducing distress and providing a purpose in their lives
- Implement formal/informal crisis plans, program plans and/or behavioral objectives using person-centered planning
- Maintain documentation, record keeping and participate in regular meetings
- Complete required training
- Respond to a crisis, monitor the safety of persons served, and provide support and supervision in a positive therapeutic manner with the least restrictive methods of positive intervention
