About the role

National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering home, auto, and accident and health insurance, as well as other specialty niche insurance products. This role is within the Direct Auto Insurance division of Allstate.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business sales and understand customers' needs to build rapport and trust.
  • Build and retain a book of business within the market / retail location.
  • Attract and generate new customers and cross-sell existing customers, promoting products like Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance.
  • Sell to walk-in customers, market products outside the office via marketing calls and in-person visits to create community relationships.
  • Initiate outbound calling to established target customer bases for various product offerings.
  • Monitor competitors in the local market area and make suggestions to improve the company's position.
  • Work with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve production and growth goals.
  • Deliver optimal results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance, while maintaining compliance with all rules, procedures, and standards.
  • Understand, promote, and remain current on company underwriting guidelines, announcements, and memos related to changes in company policies and procedures.
  • Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and verify reports of receipts for cash drawers.

Requirements

  • 0 – 2 years of experience in P&C licensing (preferred).
  • Successfully closes sales of insurance and ancillary products.
  • Maintains and exceeds sales goals through new product sales, cross-sell, and retention of customers.
  • Leverages community contacts to build a sales pipeline and actively engage in the local community.
  • Initiates outbound calling to established target customer bases for various product offerings.
  • Monitors key competitors in the local market area and makes suggestions to improve the company's position.

Pay

  • Unlicensed Candidates: Base compensation: $20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Licensed Candidates (Auto or P&C Insurance): Total Compensation: In addition to the base hourly rate, total compensation for this role may include incentive pay, such as commissions and bonuses, based on individual and team performance.
