DIRECT JUVENILE SUPPORT WORKER

About the role

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Direct Juvenile Support Worker at The Lewisville Juvenile Treatment Center (L.J.T.C.) in Lewisville, Arkansas. The Lewisville Juvenile Treatment Center (L.J.T.C.) is dedicated to transforming the lives of at-risk young males through a structured environment that promotes self-discipline, self-respect, and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-person safety and security around-the-clock.
• Mentors and develops skills of each youth individually.
• Makes sure the youth’s physical, personal, and health needs are met.
• Monitor and document behaviors and activities.
• Assists with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
• Collaborates with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test.
• Pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 3.5 days per week, 12-hour shifts.
• Shift A: Sunday/Monday/Tuesday 7am-9m and Wednesday - 8am-2pm *1 hour break each day*
• Shift B: Thursday/Friday/Saturday - 7am-9pm and Wednesday - 2pm-9pm *1 hour break each day*

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Knowledge of youth development and behavior management.

Pay

$17.75 - $18.82 per hour based on education and experience.
