Direct Care Supervisor - Adult Care

About the role

The Sr. House Manager supervises a supportive adult apartment program by overseeing staff and helping individuals develop independence and self-esteem.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport individuals as assigned per level of supervision required.
• Provide direct support to individuals as needed and necessary.
• Develop, maintain, and utilize a sound working knowledge of governing agency regulations.
• Utilize a sound working knowledge of Vanderheyden policies, practices, and systems.
• Adhere to the DSP Code of Ethics.
• Observe and provide feedback to others on performance of OPWDD Core Competency standards within OPWDD programs.
• Successfully complete all required trainings.
• Maintain current with all required trainings.

Requirements

• 1 year experience as a Direct Support Professional or associate's degree in the Human Service field, preferably with a similar population.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Vanderheyden mission.
• Working knowledge of management practice.

Skills

• Ability to meet the OPWDD Core Competency standards.

Pay

$22.00 an hour based on education and experience.

Schedule

• Full-time, awake position.
• Evening position available in Rensselaer.
• Day position at the Troy location.
