Direct Care Supervisor - Adult Care

About the role

The Sr. House Manager supervises a supportive adult apartment program by overseeing staff and helping individuals develop independence and self-esteem.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and individuals receiving services
• Develop, maintain, and utilize a sound working knowledge of governing agency regulations
• Apply Vanderheyden policies, practices, and systems
• Adhere to the DSP Code of Ethics
• Meet OPWDD Core Competency standards and provide feedback on performance
• Complete required trainings and stay updated with all required trainings
• Safely transport individuals as assigned
• Provide direct support to individuals as needed

Requirements

• 1 year experience as a Direct Support Professional or associate's degree in a related field

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Vanderheyden mission and management practice

Skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Pay

$22.00 an hour based on education and experience.

Schedule

• Full-time, awake position
• Evening position available in Rensselaer
• Day position at the Troy location
