Position Summary

The Director of Clinical Operations supports the Clinical Nurse Executive by providing effective leadership for the development and administration of clinical operations creating a system that optimizes care delivery, efficiency, and effectiveness and continuously improves performance throughout the hospital.

The Director assesses, plans, implements and evaluates all aspects of care/services delivered; ensures quality programs, patient safety and a level of customer experience that strives to exceed internal and external customer expectations; develops and mentors a high performing management team for all areas of responsibility; ensures financial viability by managing applicable revenue/ expenses with attention to supply cost utilization and a high level of productivity for areas under direct control to ensure identified service and financial benchmarks are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum eight (8) years clinical experience and mastery of professional or technical role/function
  • Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in management
  • Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications

Pay and Benefits Expectations

  • We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off.
  • The pay scale is $152,443.20 - $219,356.80 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
  • If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
