Dimensions Manager - AL

About the role

The Sanctuary of St. Cloud is an affordable, friendly senior living community located near Highway 10 and County 23 in St. Cloud, MN. Our community hosts 101 Assisted Living and 36 Memory Care apartments. The role is accountable for implementing the Dimensions Program, encouraging participation and ownership from all staff, and managing the programmatic, physical, and educational operations to meet residents' and families' needs. This position collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to provide education and support for staff and families interacting with residents experiencing dementia.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and supervision to staff, volunteers, and/or students.
• Supports an effective staffing model and works with the Director of Health Services (DHS) to ensure efficient use of staffing resources.
• In partnership with the DHS, provides ongoing staff support, employee orientation, and ongoing education/staff development.
• Provides resident/employee feedback to the DHS and advises on corrective action when appropriate.
• Maintains department records for resident attendance at activities.
• Implements the Dimensions Program:
  • Establishes and supports an environment conducive to quality services and high-level customer satisfaction.
  • Communicates and maintains good working relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Provides overall program direction and ongoing development.
  • Develops a monthly activity calendar for the Dimensions neighborhood in collaboration with the Activities Director.
  • Responds effectively to customer concerns and routinely reviews satisfaction surveys.
  • Ensures proper programming supplies are available for residents and staff.
  • Participates in Dimensions Program assessment and maintains the program.
• Serves as the Dimensions Champion for the site, attending Ebenezer’s Dimensions Trainings and ongoing Champions training.
• Coaches and mentors care team, staff members, and volunteers in best practices of the Dimensions Program.
• Collaborates with nursing to maximize contributions to resident care plans using Cognitive Performance Tests (CPT), My Way, Advance Care Planning, and Global Deterioration Scale (GDS).
• Works with the team to utilize psychosocial (non-pharmacological) approaches and interventions.
• Ensures the Dimensions environment enhances resident experience and encourages engagement.
• Facilitates, coordinates, and supports the Site’s Care Partner Support group.
• Sends a monthly Dimensions Program newsletter to families.
• Manages the journey program, if applicable at the site.
• Develops programs and activities reflective of resident interests and needs.
• Assesses residents' areas of interest and designs programs to meet identified psychosocial needs.
• Ensures residents maintain their highest level of performance and independence through observation and evaluation.
• Plans, coordinates, and supports day-to-day activities and programming in Dimensions Community.
• Plans and attends all Dimensions Program outings.
• Ensures execution of programming through Activity Assistants, Resident Assistants, and other staff.
• Encourages resident participation in activity programming.
• Communicates and coordinates programming with the Activity Director and other departments.
• Assists the Activity Director in hiring and training Activities Assistants.
• Offers suggestions and innovative ideas to improve the Dimensions Community to the Executive Director.
• In partnership with the Executive Director (ED) and DHS, develops a budget, monitors financial activities, and maintains accurate financial records.
• Supports a marketing plan aimed at full occupancy and reviews occupancy levels regularly.
• Ensures marketing materials are current and coordinates marketing/PR initiatives.
• Participates in conducting resident/family tours of the community.
• Reviews clinical assessments for resident admission applications and consults with the team for resident placement.
• Drives Ebenezer van/bus for resident outings:
  • Completes Vehicle Requirements - Transporting Residents Checklist prior to each outing.
  • Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed.
  • Ensures the safety and welfare of passengers.
  • Practices sound, safe judgment during transportation services, including fire/disaster and infection control procedures.
  • Recognizes and acts appropriately on safety hazards and incidents.
  • Follows all laws regarding operating a motor vehicle and reports any traffic violations or accidents immediately.

Requirements

• A.A./A.S. or less than 1 year of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and must be insurable under the employer’s auto insurance coverage.
• Medical exam certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must complete and pass an in-house transportation curriculum course and driving evaluation within 30 days.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts degree.
• 1 year of relevant experience.

Pay

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. The organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making offers. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If eligible, a sign-on bonus may be offered based on the approved program at the time of the offer.
