Responsibilities

  • Own SEO & GEO strategy and execution
  • Lead SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) initiatives across multiple client accounts, developing and maintaining roadmaps, conducting audits, prioritizing opportunities, optimizing content for both traditional search engines and AI-driven search experiences, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Drive digital growth strategy
  • Serve as the primary strategic owner of SEO/GEO deliverables while remaining hands-on in execution.
  • Partner with internal teams and clients to shape integrated digital marketing strategies that improve discoverability, customer acquisition, and business performance.
  • Develop strategic frameworks, recommendations, and client deliverables while ensuring a high standard of work across engagements.
  • Leverage performance data to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and measure the impact of SEO and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Develop reporting and present strategic insights and recommendations directly to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead senior client conversations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor in client meetings, presenting strategies, performance updates, recommendations, and roadmaps with confidence and executive presence.
  • Collaborate across disciplines
  • Work closely with Paid Media, Creative, Analytics, Development, and Account teams to ensure integrated marketing initiatives are aligned and executed effectively.

Requirements

  • Available to work a full-time short-term contract role during EST business hours.
  • Proven experience leading SEO strategy and execution within an agency, consulting, or complex client-service environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies or optimizing content for AI-powered search experiences (e.g., ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini).
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, content strategy, keyword research, site architecture, and search performance measurement.
  • Experience conducting SEO audits, building strategic roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives, and translating findings into business recommendations.
  • Hands-on experience reviewing analytics, identifying opportunities, and presenting performance insights to clients.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) preferred.
  • Comfortable operating as both a strategic lead and individual contributor, owning deliverables from strategy through execution.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to lead senior stakeholder conversations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced consulting or agency environment.
