About the role

This part-time internship is designed for current students for the Summer/Fall 2026 term. Interns will work closely with department leads to support digital rights operations within the YouTube CMS, onboard sound recording assets, and help execute strategies to drive higher revenue for clients and companies. This is a hybrid role requiring in-person attendance at the Los Angeles headquarters 1-2 times per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in uploading and organizing YouTube assets into our CMS, ensuring accurate metadata entry for client content management and monetization.
  • Conduct research to identify user-generated content (UGC) using client assets and apply fair use knowledge to place copyright claims.
  • Help maximize revenue for clients through manual claiming and content research.
  • Compile, list, and maintain detailed records of client assets to keep accounts organized and up-to-date.
  • Analyze YouTube channels and asset data to identify unclaimed content, evaluate channel performance, and prepare reports for potential revenue.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student receiving credit for this internship.
  • Passionate about music and up-to-date with trends and new genres in the music industry.
  • Familiar with content formats within YouTube.
  • Creative thinker who is not afraid to problem-solve and works well in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized when handling multiple tasks and projects.
  • Hungry to get their foot in the door of the music industry and learn a variety of skills within music distribution and YouTube.
  • Must be interested in a serious career in music.

Schedule

  • Start Date: Flexible, Summer/Fall 2026 term.
  • Length: 3 - 4 months.
  • Hours: 10–23 hours per week.
  • Hybrid role: Must be able to attend in person in the LA office 1-2 times per week.
