Digital Product Owner
About the role
This role is for a Feature Product Owner within a core banking team. The position is part of a key enterprise initiative to modernize the entire ledger and transaction process.
Responsibilities
- Utilize user stories and business requirements to refine functional requirements.
- Analyze partnerships and engagements to host refinement sessions with partners.
- Manage stakeholders, perform conflict resolution, handle escalations, and act as the anchor for technical requirements.
- Lead the development and execution of product plans and initiatives supporting modernization of core banking capabilities.
- Serve as a key contributor in large-scale planning and delivery efforts for core banking transformation initiatives.
- Review and assess digital strategy for account ledger and transaction processing to inform foundational product definitions.
- Influence product direction and cross-functional strategy by evaluating technical, business, and regulatory considerations.
- Determine product decisions that balance customer impact, operational efficiency, and policy or compliance requirements.
- Partner closely with senior leadership to support roadmap development and execution of modernization priorities.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable product requirements and user stories.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and risk/control partners to ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, and well-documented.
- Engage business stakeholders to define future state requirements aligned to enterprise strategy.
Requirements
- Digital Product Ownership Experience.
- Knowledge of account ledger platforms, posting logic, transaction flows, and/or ledger system architecture.
- Experience delivering complex initiatives within Agile frameworks, including hands-on use of tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience working with real-time processing systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven solutions.
- Experience within financial services or highly regulated environments with an understanding of risk, control, and compliance considerations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Jira, and Atlassian.
- Strong technical knowledge, including microservices and banking technology nuances.

- Knowledge of consumer banking and/or core banking experience is desired but not required.
