About the role
As Digital Lead & Employer Engagement Manager, you will:
- Drive digital innovation by developing a regional platform and employer portal that improves access to employment, training and support for unpaid carers.
- Lead employer engagement activity, building strong relationships and promoting carer-inclusive workplace practices across the North East.
- Support employers to adopt flexible working, inclusive recruitment and Shine Accreditation.
- Collaborate with partners including NEMESA, Shine, local authorities, DWP, NHS and VCSE organisations to strengthen pathways into work.
- Oversee the employer engagement staff, ensuring high-quality delivery and consistent practice across all areas.
- Monitor performance and impact, using data and insights to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements
We are looking for someone who brings:
- Strong experience in management, employer engagement or business development.
- Proven ability to build relationships with employers and influence inclusive workplace practice.
- Experience developing or managing digital platforms, online resources or digital engagement tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation and partnership-working skills.
- Strong project management skills and confidence analysing data to drive improvement.
- Able to work independently, use initiative and manage competing priorities.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding.
- Able to travel across the North East region.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role or relevant field.
- Experience in digital platform development and employer engagement.
- Strong project management and data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
